ISLANDS & COUNTRIES WE LOVED…

MALTA-FUUN-SLIDER-DESTINATION-GOZO-PORT

MALTA

Malta is a small rocky island of 27km long by 14,5km wide. Coming from a bigger country less densely populated, it can be difficult to grasp that in its 246km2 and two tiny adjacent islands, there can be nearly half a million people and so many things to see.

SICILY

Sicily is definitely a family travel destination that we recommend with young children. Our first travel in the Ionian Sea was for us like an incredible succession of warm welcome and charming attentions to our 3 years-old-girl that did not stop from the Southern to the Northern part of our expedition. The first fact that struck us was the relaxed atmosphere. It was indeed the summer bliss but more characteristically, the approach and kindness of every person we met or just stumbled upon. After the 3 rd travel, we just know this is the rule
all over Sicily.

AEOLIAN ISLANDS

Although you may have never heard of the enchanting name of Aeolian Islands, you certainly know about the famous Stromboli, the most impetuous volcano of this little Archipelago through. Stromboli is not a single lost volcanic island facing the Italian coast, it has 6 exotic brothers and sisters among which the sulfuric Vulcano. Cobalt to Turquoise blue sea, steaming volcanoes and mountains, remote islands… we heard that the Aeolians were the European Holy Grail for island lovers, and we understand why!

SOUTH AFRICA

Visiting South Africa was a dream we had the chance to do combining a safari, a paragliding trip and a 2 nd honeymoon… Some travels mark you more than others by their intensity.

South Africa is raw, magnificent and sometimes brutal and extreme. All these energies combined make a cocktail which engraves the experience deeply. For us, it was even more than that.

We almost crashed, made Afrikaans friends, fought, reconciled and came back with a special gift which will change our entire lives. This happened just two years before I kick started an Education project development in Jo’burg which would bring me back several times there, allowing me to understand the country’s complexity.

MAURITIUS

Say the words ‘Le Morne’ to a surfer and you’ll spot stars in his eyes. While you probably imagine 5* luxury hotels infinity pool and tidy sandy beach with lined up coconut trees, the surfer is already gone on One Eye, a perfect ‘left’ unfolding beneath him.

He is in the moment aware of the coral reef nearby. Then, how good can it go to to combine a kitesurf and a honeymoon trip? This is what we tried on our first travel to Mauritius.

U.A.E

Saying ‘We are living in the Gulf’ never leave people cold. The first picture hitting people’s mind is often a war zone. But where is the UAE by the way?

Short answer was: – Dubai.

Which was followed by a sigh of relief and exclamation- Ah Dubai! Next comment is often of disgust or envy. Nevertheless, our experience of the UAE lifestyle, the sea and its deserts are nothing close to what that they have in mind.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

When we hear the names Encuentro, Las Terrenas ans Samana, this is like a melody to our hear, automatically rocking us to the sound of the ocean and the tropical birds song in the morning.

Dominican Republic is important to our family because it is our founder trip, the destination we dreamt of the most together.
